9/11 police officers and fire fighters charged with fraud

Dozens of retired US police officers, fire fighters and jail guards, many of them first responders to the 9/11 attacks in 2001, have been charged with alleged benefit fraud.

They are accused of falsely claiming to be incapacitated by trauma, to collect federal social security benefits.
