Bill de Blasio hails victory in New York mayoral race

Bill de Blasio has made a victory speech in New York City after winning the race to be mayor, he said "our work is just beginning".

Mr de Blasio, the city's public advocate, ran Hillary Clinton's 2000 Senate campaign. He is seen as one of the most liberal mayoral candidates in decades. He replaces Michael Bloomberg who was mayor for three terms.
