US shutdown: Obama hopes for last minute budget deal

President Obama has set out the effects of a government shutdown, if Congress fails to approve a budget.

He said a government shutdown would have an economic impact on the people of the United States.

He said it could still be prevented if the House of Representatives passed a straightforward funding bill without making ideological demands.
