Zoo death: Boy falls into enclosure of African wild dogs

A two-year-old boy has been killed in a zoo in Pittsburgh in the US state of Pennsylvania after he fell into an enclosure of African wild dogs.

The boy fell off a railing where he had been placed by his mother to view the animals.

It is not clear whether the boy died from the fall off the barrier or as a result of being attacked.

Pittsburgh Zoo president and CEO Barbara Baker said zoo workers had acted immediately to try to save the boy.
