NYC families return home to assess damage after Sandy

Millions of people in the north-eastern region of the United States are without power, in the aftermath of Storm Sandy.

Many are in special evacuation centres although some have been able to return home to assess the damage.

The BBC's Michelle Fleury visited an apartment block in New York's Lower East Side, to find out how people are coping.
