Manufacturing sector provides jobs to aid US economy

The manufacturing sector in the United States has been contributing to the improving labour market in the world's largest economy.

The US government is expected to confirm this trend, when it releases its official figures published in a jobs report.

At a time when unemployment is still unacceptably high, there is speculation over how much of an effect the manufacturing sector will have overall.

Michelle Fleury reports from New Jersey.
