Bradley Manning military court case begins in US

The soldier accused of obtaining and distributing US government secrets and passing them on to the whistle-blowing website Wikileaks has appeared in military court.

Private Bradley Manning's hearing, which will determine whether or not he will face a full court-martial and a possible life sentence, took place under tight security at an army base.
