Penn State students riot after coach Joe Paterno sacked

Students at Penn State university in the US have rioted after Joe Paterno, one of the most famous football coaches in American sport, was sacked.

Mr Paterno is accused of failing to act over allegations of child abuse against a long-serving assistant coach, Jerry Sandusky.

Witnesses say rocks and bottles were thrown, and a news van was overturned.
