US tornadoes 'like something off a movie'

Rescue teams in the US are still searching for survivors after hundreds of tornados hit six southern states last week.

At least 340 people are now known to have died in some of the worst storms in American history.

Alabama was the worst hit and many homes there still have no power.

Edith Pearson, who is originally from London and now lives in Alabama, said she was sheltering in her house when the tornado hit.
