Musharraf: Pakistani intelligence 'inept' over Bin Laden
The former President of Pakistan General Musharraf has admitted to the BBC that Pakistani Intelligence, the ISI, demonstrated "negligence, ineptitude and failure" by not knowing that Osama Bin Laden was living in the military town of Abbotabad for a number of years.
Speaking to Newsnight's Jeremy Paxman, he ruled out the possibility that the ISI were aware of Bin Laden's hiding place, but he acknowledged that it was "very difficult to prove non-complicity" between the ISI and al-Qaeda elements.
