Minister confident about preparations for the Games

After days of criticism about Delhi's readiness for the Commonwealth Games, teams of athletes are finally moving into their accommodation.

Several delegations delayed their departures to India last week after complaints that the Village was filthy, uninhabitable, even dangerous.

There is under a week till the opening ceremony and officials are pulling out all the stops to try to get the city ready on time.

Delhi's chief minister Sheila Dixit has said preparations should be complete by Wednesday.

From Delhi, Sanjoy Majumder reports.
