Bambi illustrator 'drew what a forest feels like'

The animator who was largely responsible for Bambi, Tyrus Wong, has died aged 106.

Charles Solomon is an animation historian who helped curate the Disney Family Museums exhibition, he says Wong used his experience of Chinese art to capture the 'essence' of the forest.

He speaks to the Today programme and reflects on what made Wong's work so distinctive, and why Bambi may have been Disney's favourite film.
