Lighting up Petra with more than 1,500 candles

Visitors to Petra in Jordan can enjoy seeing the archaeological site at night lit by more than 1,500 candles and hear music from ancient Jordanian musical instruments.

One of the guides, Mahmoud D El Halalat, says every night is "like a dream" to see so many visitors from around the world share the experience.

Petra is a famous archaeological site in Jordan's south-western desert. It dates back to around 300 BC and was the capital of the Nabataean Kingdom.
