Inside the militants' tunnels in Mosul

A deep network of underground tunnels has been uncovered at the outskirts of Mosul, where Iraqi and Kurdish forces have been advancing towards the major stronghold of the so-called Islamic State in Iraq.

The tunnels have been mainly used as hideouts and escape routes by the militants.
