UN: '50,000 remain trapped inside Falluja'

Some 50,000 civilians remain trapped in the besieged Iraqi city of Falluja.

The UN says it has reports of people dying of starvation and being killed for refusing to fight for IS.

Melissa Fleming spokeswoman for the UN High Commissioner for Refugees said:

"Escaping is harrowing... people have lost their lives trying to leave the city".
