'A city on the edge': In Lashkar Gah, Helmand Province

Afghan security forces have claimed to have killed 50 Taliban fighters in a battle for the key town of Sangin in Helmand Province.

The dead are said to include a senior Taliban commander.

The Taliban had earlier claimed to have captured Sangin and seized weapons and equipment.

The strategically important town is a key transport route.

The BBC's Auliya Atrafi reports from Lashkar Gah, the capital of Helmand Province.
