Kerry condemns Palestinian attacks in Israel as 'terrorism'

The US Secretary of State has denounced as "acts of terrorism" a wave of Palestinian attacks targeting Israelis, on a visit to Jerusalem.

John Kerry told a press conference that he was there to talk to Israel's PM Benjamin Netanyahu about how to "push back against senseless violence" and said that Israel had "every right to defend itself".

Mr Kerry will meet the Palestinian president in the West Bank later.
