On the front line with Kurdish forces attempting to retake Sinjar

Kurdish forces in northern Iraq have launched an offensive to recapture the town of Sinjar.

A strategic town near the Syrian border, Islamic State militants seized Sinjar in August 2014.

The Kurdish campaign is being supported by air strikes by the US-led coalition.
