IS still poses threat to Iraq, says new Iraqi PM

Iraq's new prime minister has told the BBC that Islamic State continues to pose "an existential threat" to the his country.

Haider al-Abadi said the extremists were being beaten back, but that international military help should be maintained if victory was to be secured.

IS fighters are close to Baghdad and still control large areas of the country.
