Air strikes in Syria: US and Arabic reaction

The US and a number of its allies have launched their first strikes against Islamic State (IS) militants in Syria.

Sunni Arab countries Bahrain, Jordan, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates "participated in or supported" the US-led air strikes.

The BBC's Barbara Plett-Usher in Washington, Rafid Jabbouri in Amman and chief international correspondent Lyse Doucet in Baghdad assess the implications of the strikes.
