Iran nuclear programme: EU's Ashton hails 'important day'

Catherine Ashton, the EU's foreign affairs chief, has hailed "an important day" for the EU in its pursuit of ensuring that Iran's nuclear programme is "exclusively peaceful".

Under a deal agreed in November 2013, Iran will begin to curb its enrichment of uranium enrichment, triggering the easing of some international sanctions.
