Egyptian police accused of 'abuse'

Almost three years after the ousting of Egypt's former president Hosni Mubarak, human rights campaigners are warning that cases of police brutality are still occurring, unchecked.

A grainy video circulating widely on social media appears to show a blindfolded man being whipped with a leather belt.

The identity of his abuser is unclear, but police admit the man was arrested in the southern province of Minya. They say he was involved in a deadly attack on a police station.

Orla Guerin reports from Cairo.
