Egypt Muslim Brotherhood leader Mohammed Badie arrested

The Muslim Brotherhood's most senior leader in Egypt, Mohammed Badie, has been arrested in Cairo.

Mr Badie was held by interim-government authorities over incitement to violence and murder charges.

Egypt is under a state of emergency after a military crack down on Islamists opposed to the army's ousting of Mohammed Morsi.
