Egypt unrest: Clashes in Morsi's hometown of Zagazig

Clashes erupted on Wednesday between supporters and opponents of ousted Egyptian president Mohammed Morsi in his hometown Zagazig.

Riot police fired tear gas in an attempt to disperse the protesters.

The violence erupted after security forces backed by armoured vehicles, bulldozers and helicopters cleared two encampments of Morsi supporters, sparking running street battles elsewhere in Cairo and other Egyptian cities.
