Israeli-Gaza conflict: Ashkelon bears brunt of rockets

As the conflict between Israel and Hamas militants in Gaza continues, air raid sirens and rocket attacks were heard in Ashkelon throughout the day.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netenyahu has said Israel is ready to expand its operation, and Israeli television is showing footage of IDF personnel training for ground combat.

Jeremy Bowen reports from Jerusalem.
