Protests held in New York over oil sanctions against Iran

Demonstrators gathered in New York on Monday to protest against sanctions recently imposed on Iran by the European Union on the country's crude oil exports.

They argued that instead of helping to bring about democratic change in the country, sanctions would only hurt the people of Iran.
