Syria: Deadly explosion in Damascus

A bomb attack in central Damascus has killed at least 10 people and wounded dozens, according to Syrian state television.

The reports say a "powerful explosion" was caused by a suicide bomber, in a heavily populated neighbourhood.

State television has blamed terrorists for the attack, which is thought to have targeted a bus carrying members of the security forces.

The BBC's Jon Donnison reports from neighbouring Beirut.
