Syrian government is accused of continuing violence

The Syrian government has been accused of continuing a deadly crackdown on anti-government protesters, despite signing up to a deal earlier this week to end the violence.

The agreement involved the withdrawal of the army, the release of political prisoners and the beginning of a national dialogue.

Yet since then, it is claimed security forces have killed at least nineteen people and wounded dozens of others.
