Protesters pledge a revolution as Egypt shows signs of normality

The top leaders of Egypt's ruling National Democratic Party, including President Hosni Mubarak's son, have resigned.

It comes on a day when the US and Britain called for an "orderly transition" to democracy, and in the hope that it will offer a concession to protesters who are still gathered in the centre of Cairo.
