President Abbas: 'Intention behind the leaks is to confuse'

Mahmoud Abbas, President of the Palestinian Authority, has reacted to leaked documents apparently showing how Palestinian negotiators were willing to give up large parts of illegally occupied East Jerusalem to Israel.

Speaking in Egypt, Mr Abbas said the intention behind the leaks "was to confuse".

Hundreds of files relating to the Middle East peace process have been released by the Al Jazeera news network.
