Obama urges leaders to 'walk the path of peace"

President Obama has urged Israeli and Palestinian leaders to "walk the path of peace" when they begin direct talks in Washington on Thursday.

The Israeli Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, said he was seeking a "secure and durable peace", while the Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas called for an end to bloodshed, and the release of Palestinian prisoners in order to achieve long lasting peace.
