Hurricane Irma makes landfall in Cuba

Hurricane Irma has been pounding Cuba with strong winds and heavy rain - the first time a category five hurricane has made landfall in the country in decades.

This footage is from the cities of Caibarién and Remedios in Villa Clara province, which is in the centre of the island and known for its sandy beaches.
