Rio 2016: 16 year-old torchbearer makes her community proud

With less than two months to go until the Rio 2016 Games, the Olympic torch is travelling across Brazil.

More than 12,000 people will carry the flame in over 300 cities until the games kick off in Rio in August.

But the route also exposes Brazil's deep contrasts and inequality.

Julia Carneiro visited one of Brazil's poorest states to meet Rayanne da Silva Xavier, a 16-year-old torchbearer who is making her community proud.

Rayanne is one of the young leaders of a programme run by Instituto Formacao and Unicef that works to help children in poor areas get into sport - and stay out of trouble.
