Pope Francis and Patriarch Kirill to hold historic meeting

The Pope will hold an historic meeting with Patriarch Kirill of the Russian Orthodox church on Friday.

The meeting in Cuba will be the very first Papal meeting with a spiritual head of Russian Orthodoxy since their Churches split in the 11th Century over the issue of Papal authority.

The significance for both Churches is immense and may finally mean they are edging towards a warmer phase in relations.

Caroline Wyatt reports.
