Agreement reached in Colombia between government and FARC rebels

The Colombian government and FARC rebels have signed a key agreement in a major step towards a definitive peace accord to end half a century of armed conflict.

The deal sets out reparations for victims and the creation of special tribunals to try war criminals.

An estimated 220,000 people were killed during the five-decades long war.
