Argentine couple win world's biggest tango competition

An Argentine couple have won the "salon tango" competition at the world's top tango dancing event, held in Buenos Aires.

Maximiliano Cristiani and Jesica Arfenoni danced to success at the Argentine capital's Luna Park stadium.

Cristiani, who had come close to winning the contest several times in the past, was overwhelmed with emotion.

The couple received a $7000 prize and tickets to Paris, where they are expected to perform.

More than 500 couples from 37 countries have been competing in the two-week tango festival.
