Cuba begins first major overhaul of economy since 1960s

Cuba has begun the first major overhaul of its struggling Soviet style state run economy since the 1960s.

The final details of the changes will not be known until after the long-delayed Communist Party Congress in April, but so far about 100,000 Cubans have signed up to become self-employed and small businesses are springing up all over the country.

The BBC's correspondent in Cuba, Michael Voss, reports on how the reforms have changed a single block in the suburbs of the capital.
