Police move in on Rio shanty town

Brazilian police say they have gained control of the Vila Cruzeiro shanty town in Rio de Janeiro where security forces have been involved in violent clashes with drugs gangs.

Armoured vehicles were deployed after five days of violence in which at least 30 people lost their lives.

The BBC's Julia Carneiro reports from Rio.
