Brazil awaits presidential election result

Polls have closed in Brazil in the election to chose a new president to succeed the popular Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva.

Opinion polls suggest Lula's preferred candidate, Dilma Rousseff, will win a strong victory over the opposition challenger Jose Serra.

If Ms Rousseff wins, she will become Brazil's first woman president.Paulo Cabral reports.
