Haiti cholera: Cases reported in Port-au-Prince

The first cases of cholera have been detected in the Haitian capital, raising concerns that an epidemic in another part of the country is spreading.

Aid agencies say five cases have been confirmed, all in people arriving in Port-au-Prince from the north of the country, where the outbreak was first detected.

There are fears the disease could spread to the camps housing more than one million survivors of the January earthquake.

Laura Trevelyan reports from St Marc, Haiti.
