Fire sweeps favela in Sao Paulo, Brazil

More than 300 makeshift houses have been destroyed in a huge fire that swept through a favela in Sao Paulo, Brazil.

Nobody has been killed, according to fire officials, who attended the scene at the Real Parque slum.

Fires are a recurring hazard in the favela, where residents illegally tap into the energy grid to get free power.
