Homelessness in the Isle of Man tackled in the classroom

A series of workshops are under way in schools across the Isle of Man to raise awareness of what has been called the hidden homeless.

A growing number of people have no home to call their own. Instead, they sleep in car parks and public toilets.

Without housing associations or homeless legislation, some people are slipping through the safety net, the charity Housing Matters claims.

The organisation is talking to teenagers in Manx schools to make them more aware of the situation.
