'It was a nightmare for all of us'

Forty-two people died during overnight clashes in the capital, Ankara, most of them civilians, the prosecutor's office said.

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has flown in to Istanbul to denounce a coup attempt by an army group as "an act of treason".

Rengin Arslan reports from Istanbul.
