Nadia Savchenko: 'A symbol of defiance and hope' in Ukraine

A Ukrainian pilot on trial in Russia has told the court she will continue her hunger strike, and will not recognise the courts verdict - now due in less than two weeks.

Russia accuses Nadia Savchenko of involvement in the deaths of two Russian journalists in eastern Ukraine in 2014, a charge Ms Savchenko strongly denies.

Ms Savchenko's case has attracted huge interest in Ukraine, and has become a symbol of the countries dispute with Russia.

Tom Burridge reports from Kiev.
