Marseille Jews urged to be discreet

Marseille's 70,000-strong Jewish community is being urged to be discreet following a recent knife attack on a teacher.

Benjamin Amsellem was injured by a 15-year-old Muslim boy of Kurdish origin, who later told investigators that he was proud of what he had done.

Michele Teboul, president of the Representative Council of Jewish Institutions, told Hugh Schofield that the city's Jewish population would have to be discreet about their heritage until the situation seemed safer.
