Will Turkey's two-pronged attack backfire?

Turkey has carried out airstrikes against Kurdish separatists based in northern Iraq, and against Islamic State militants in Syria.

For the first time, Turkish planes entered Syrian airspace to carry out the attacks.

Ministers say they want to create a safe area in northern Syria, cleared of militants.
