Ukraine conflict: West condemns Russia aid convoy move

The US has joined Ukrainian authorities in condemning Russia's decision to move lorries carrying aid into eastern Ukraine, without permission from Kiev.

A Pentagon spokesman suggested the convoy was a cover for some other action.

Russia has defended the move, saying it did have permission from the Ukrainian authorities to deliver the aid.

Tom Esslemont reports from Washington.
