Taksim anniversary: Heavy police presence on Istanbul streets

Some 25,000 police have been deployed at Istanbul's Taksim Square in a bid to prevent unrest on the first anniversary of deadly anti-government protests.

The BBC's James Reynolds said police were "in full command" in the city's main boulevard as they attempted to prevent people from entering the square.
