Checkpoint shooting leaves 14 Ukrainian soldiers dead

An attack on a checkpoint in Eastern Ukraine has left 14 soldiers dead, in what has been described as 'a huge blow' for the Ukrainian army.

Pro-Russian separatists attacked the checkpoint, around 40km south of Donetsk, at around 5am on Thursday morning.
