Ukraine: Sloviansk's 'silent majority' want peace

Pro-Russian activists in Ukraine show no sign of easing their grip on their eastern strongholds.

The decision comes one day after Russian President Vladimir Putin urged delaying the vote to create the conditions necessary for dialogue.

The Ukrainian army are maintaining checkpoints around eastern cities including Sloviansk.
